Verdict

John Bridger's Megalala defied his advanced years to make all for his 19th career victory over 1m4f here last week and escapes a penalty as it was an apprentice contest. Chris Meehan rides again and his mount is just as adept over this trip whereas runner-up Hermosa Vaquera is better over further. ROLY TRICKS (NAP) scored at that same fixture in emphatic style, her second victory over the track and trip within three weeks, and a 6lb penalty doesn't look enough to prevent another success. Priors Gate has been staying on strongly over a mile and Marcus Tregoning's lightly-raced charge has more scope than most of these. Loving Your Work is finally dropping to a mark he should be capable of winning from.
