In depth

Verdict

Campeon stayed on strongly only just failing to catch Canadian Danehill over course and distance under similar conditions last time but, even under the revised terms, preference is for Canadian Danehill, with Meditation rated the pick of the remainder. The selection arguably won with a touch more in hand than the margin would suggest last time, relishes fast ground and is taken to follow up. Girlsweekend is less exposed than most of these but like Campeon would probably prefer a softer surface, while Talcen Gwyn has given little sign of encouragement from two outings previously this term. Mulberry Lad could be of interest on his reappearance but a bigger threat is likely to come from Meditation although it remains to be seen whether he has the speed for today's trip and preference is for Canadian Danehill.
