In depth

Verdict

Souter's Sister is the pick of this quintet and can break her duck at the main expense of Sonhador and newcomer Rockinit. The Richard Hannon-trained selection turns out on her fifth maiden but this looks a bit easier than most of the other four, in which she has already managed to finish placed on three occasions. Her pedigree suggests that fast ground and this trip suit, and if she reproduces her latest effort, where she was badly drawn, then she should win. Sonhador made a pleasing Folkestone debut but failed to confirm that promise at Lingfield last time. The race may have come too quickly for him and he can hopefully show more after a short break. Rockinit is a beautifully bred filly who should have ground and trip to suit and Mick Channon has a 16 per cent strike rate with his juveniles this season, so money for her would be no surprise. The other pair have not shown us enough yet, and Souter's Sister can score.
