In depth

Verdict

A competitive opener but, taking into rider’s claims, ZULU ZANDER is actually better off with Shamshon when beating that rival a length over track and trip 10 days ago. David Evans’ sprinter is also better drawn today and loves to hear his hooves rattle. Spurofthemoment has won on Turf but seems better on the all-weather but Boom The Groom is still capable on his day and Boundless Power produced a promising first run for Mick Appleby at Chelmsford. Invincible Larne is eased in grade and preferred to Capla Spirit of the others.
