In depth

Verdict

Most of these have been competing on the all-weather but SALIENT is a notable exception. He found only the in-form Megalala too good over track and trip recently and a line through the latter gives him a similar chance to Nelson Quay. The latter was well beaten at this course in between a couple of victories on the Polytrack while Cataria Girl had landed a double on the all-weather before running as though something was amiss at Kempton. Auden failed to threaten the winner despite placing at Southwell and Wolverhampton winner Katmai River is preferred given he's won twice at this track before.
