      Verdict

wide open contest gets proceedings underway and as usual in these types of events jockeyship is all important and with this in mind the principals look to be Uhuru Peak, Scotty's Future and Gifted Flame and the narrow vote is given to Uhuru Peak. The selection hails from the in-form Mick Easterby yard and was a fair fourth behind Champaign Sands last time out the step up in trip should suit and with blinkers and tongue tie reapplied he looks the one to be on. Scotty's Future rates the main danger on his latest third as he is another that looks on a handy mark but consistency ids not his strong point and at likely odds he looks worth taking on. Gifted is game and consistent and is sure to run his race but he is best when coming of a fast pace that looks assured here but he needs everything to fall right and at likely odds he looks worth taking . Of the remainder Able Mind is from a yard in form and could go well at a price but in a race where stakes should be kept to a minimum for the winner we return to Uhuru Peak
