In depth

Verdict

Midlem Melody can be yet another winner for Graham Lee, with Vulcan Lane and Jour De Mee the likely dangers. The selection has been knocking on the door all season and put in another solid effort at Kelso last time when runner up to subsequent scorer Jericho. He only went down by four lengths, and off today's mark he looks set to gain an overdue success. Vulcan Lane was most impressive when accounting for Alpadi in a modest Newcastle event last time and should go well off bottom weight. Meanwhile Jour De Mee comes into the argument on his recent third to Old Buddy at Fontwell last month. Alcopop and Hollows Hill should do best of the remainder, but Midlem Melody has the best overall form and can gain just reward for his consistency.
