        Verdict

        IM DAPPER TOO landed a hat-trick last season before finishing third in last year’s renewal. But he’s 6lb lower today and having won this contest in 2016, John Davies’ charge gets the vote to go in again. Rampant Lion is less exposed but returned a losing favourite at Haydock last time and Power Sail is preferred given he’s placed in both subsequent starts since scoring at Redcar in July. Majeste looks no nearer to winning a handicap for the first time and Abushamah would prefer faster going.
