Verdict

NORTHERN FLYER struck top form around this time last year and looks ready to score again judged on his short-head second to Ted's Brother at Doncaster. He had earlier been a couple of lengths behind Istiqdaam at Newcastle and Mick Easterby's charge is a threat as is Ellies Image, who bounced back to form in style at Doncaster for which she has been handed a 7lb rise. Chookie Avon attracted support at Hamilton but found 6f too short and gained the only success of his career over this trip from just 1lb lower.
