Verdict

A winner at Newcastle last month, Corton Lad failed to cope with a penalty at Hamilton last time. Chant ran well for second at Thirsk but that was over 2m and he still looks high enough in the weights. The latter comment could also apply to LOVE MARMALADE on recent evidence but an apprentice takes 5lb off his back today and that just might sway things his way. Zanouska's earlier win at Hamilton came in lesser company but she's still preferred to stablemate Right Of Appeal.
