Jo'burg was easy to back in a claimer at Newcastle on Monday and never looked like winning. He'd need to bounce back quickly from that setback to figure in this much stronger race and we prefer ACT YOUR SHOE SIZE. He was conceding 9lb to Hot Rod Mamma at Hamilton in June when the subsequent course and distance winner was only fourth. The four-year-old clearly didn't stay 1m4f at Newcastle last time and can recapture the winning thread. Talent Scout likes it here but is possibly too high in the handicap at present and Silver Rime has gone up a further 4lb since winning at Ayr, though still isn't badly treated on his old form. Tellovoi is another climbing the weights after winning at Chester but is still preferred to the out-of-form King Torus and Shadowtime.
