    Verdict

Simply Red went close here on Saturday and if turning up, he will be figuring highly on plenty of short lists. Calliope also appeared in the very same contest and was to fold tamely having made the running. With doubts about that pair, a chance is taken with BARABOY. The veteran won at Hexham last month and a 3lb rise does not appear to be unduly harsh under the circumstances. Jackhammer was in cracking form earlier in the year while of the remainder, The Resdev Way could surprise from out of the handicap as he gets on particularly well with today’s pilot.
