In depth

Verdict

This could be run to suit Aventura, who can confirm his superiority over Ballyhurry, while the in-form Trifti is also expected to go well. Hazewind is another worth considering if the market speaks in his favour, as his yard have hit the ground running this term. He does not have much to find if he is ready to go after his winter break. Trifti won a couple of modest races on the all weather lately and is entitled to respect. However, he is arguably better on the artificial surfaces and now has a little to prove. Therefore, we prefer to take our chance with Aventura, who has held his form well of late. The five-year-old is effective when he can latch on to a strong pace and, with several other rivals that like to blast out of the stalls, there is every chance that this will be run to suit his style. Amir Quinn takes a handy 5lb off with his claim this afternoon, which leaves Aventura with a solid chance of breaking his duck on turf on these terms.
