      In depth

      Verdict

Roman Way and Prince Of Slane are two with outstanding chances here, but the value option could be Lord Attica, who gets a sporting vote. Milton Harris's gelding has to be forgiven two poor recent efforts, although the heavy ground was to blame on his penultimate start. His form prior to those setbacks was of a pretty decent standard. He finished an excellent second to Dun Locha Castle at Plumpton in December and if he can reproduce that effort he will be hard to beat here. Roman Way contested a decent novice event last time and wasn't disgraced, against this easier opposition he should make his presence felt. Prince Of Slane came a cropper at Musselburgh last time, but had previously finished runner up to Place above. If he keeps his feet today he should be in the shake up. Recent winner Ryminster should prove best of the remainder, but we return to Lord Attica as our idea of the winner.
