      Verdict

Michael Appleby has been firing in winners left, right and centre and you'd expect Brigadoon to improve now returning to the Turf. Satanic Beat won over hurdles at Newcastle last month while Gabrial's Star, St Ignatius and Fly Solo have been in action on the all-weather. STREETS OF NEW YORK contested a much stronger event at Kempton 11 days ago and made late headway having got outpaced in the early stages. The easier surface will help and, as this will only be his fourth start on the level, he could find the improvement needed to land this as Sherman McCoy looks held by St Ignatius on the form book.
