    Verdict

A field large in numbers but low in quality and on closer inspection not many can be given a serious chance of winning. However the principals look to be Kings Crest, Squeeze Box and Beamish Prince and we will side with Kings Crest. The gelding from the Richard Fahey yard was a good second on his debut behind Traveling Band. He is sure to have learnt from the experience and he will be hard to beat.Squeeze Box is from the bang-in form Howard Johnson yard and he may be a lot better than he has shown so he is worth noting in the market. Beamish Prince showed some ability on his debut when fourth behind Shayadi. However he disappointed last time and for that reason is opposed. L'oiseau was a good second on his debut in a bumper and then finished in mid division on his last two runs. He is sure to have been well schooled for this his hurdling debut but he may do better over a longer trip so for the winner we return to Kings Crest.
