Verdict

A poor contest where SUPER BABY can beat Frith and Gunadoir. The selection enjoyed his only career win here, over hurdles, and he is adaptable between this trip and 2m 4f. His chasing thus far has been adequate, with his best run over fences coming at the track a year ago, and with ground to suit, a reasonable mark, plus first time cheek pieces to sharpen him up we will side with him. Frith also likes it here, having won over course and distance two starts ago and gone close when trying to defy a 7lb rise next time. A further 3lbs on his back won't help here but he should again be thereabouts. Gunadoir is another that has gone up in the weights after being beaten. She would probably prefer bottomless ground and we think she will remain a maiden after this race. Isan represents powerful connections but recent efforts have been woeful, Carrietau has a chance at these weights based on his hurdles form, but recent chases have not been so encouraging, while Peak Seasons is not one to write off now back down in trip and with conditions to suit. Super Baby gets the vote.
