        Verdict

        MANILA SCOUSE has found one too good the last twice but probably ran into a useful sort in Greenbarn at Pontefract a week ago. He was always prominent that day and may well look to make all over this furlong shorter trip. He'd previously only gone down by a head at Chester over this distance and is proven on soft. Ralph Beckett, fresh from Group 1 success in France over the weekend, is keen to get a win out of recent Yarmouth runner-up, Mystical Music, who warrants a place on any shortlist. Lotus Rose is solid but finished behind our selection at Chester and is now 1lb worse off and both Whiteandblue and Stylish Icon make more appeal in a competitive opener.
