In depth

Verdict

PATH OF THUNDER was having his first start since February when runner-up at Newbury. He drops down a grade for his all-weather debut and Charlie Appleby’s charge looks the one to side with. River Dawn had the measure of Magnetised when scoring at Windsor last month and a rise in the weights is negated by an apprentice’s allowance but dual 7f winner Sky Commander has something to prove over today’s longer trip. Newbolt is fitted with a visor and makes more appeal than Extrodinair of the remaining pair.
