      Verdict

      Sands Chorus beat Byres Road by only a head at Wolverhampton last month and, although both have been beaten subsequently, the latter went close at Newcastle last week. London should finish closer back in this lower grade and is less exposed than Pearl Spectre, who appears to be treading water off his current mark, but LOYALTY is taken to repeat his success in this race last year. Now back on the same mark, last week’s second over 7f here suggests Derek Shaw’s veteran is ready to go in again.
