    Verdict

A couple of these won their latest starts but PEARL BEACH escapes a penalty having scored easily in an apprentices’ race at Wolverhampton. She’s also won on Polytrack before and Bill Knight’s filly is preferred to Calm Down. The latter came out best at Kempton back in September and is fitted with a tongue-tie on her return. Novice winner Capla Crusader has slid down the weights in handicaps and may prove best of the rest.
