Nonrunner

In depth

Verdict

Time Test would the one to beat on these terms if turning up. Fourth in the Juddmonte International at York last month, he had earlier won the Group 3 Tercentenary at Ascot and has the edge over BALTY BOYS at the weights. But he was due to run in a Group 2 at Newmarket yesterday so, in his expected absence, we'll nominate Brian Ellison's tough six-year-old who won a Group 3 over a mile at Haydock three weeks ago with Captain Cat back in fifth. Winter Derby winner Tryster proved a disappointment in the Brigadier Gerard at Sandown back in May but still has the beating of Solar Deity. Something appeared amiss with the other Godolphin runner Let's Go at Pontefract in July and Western Reserve is preferred having won a competitive handicap at Newmarket last time.
