      Verdict

      Delagoa Bay is proven over the trip but was pulled up on a recent start over hurdles and Lamps is a multiple winner over timber so should last home. Starcrossed only beat Voice Control by a short-head in a maiden contest over 1m5f here three weeks ago and may struggle to confirm that form on worse terms. ROCK OF MAX was third over 1m6f at Redcar last time and it’s worth taking the chance that Michael Bell's colt stays the extra distance here having slipped 5lb down the weights recently. Peeps won a lower grade race over 1m6f at Wolverhampton recently but has more to do here.
