In depth

Verdict

Bertie Blu Boy is only 2lb higher than his course and distance win but was a well-beaten third back here three weeks ago. Fossa ran well at Kempton in between distinctly modest efforts and it's difficult to have much confidence in him, so a speculative vote goes to HE'S MY BOY. The latter makes his seasonal debut today but won at Newmarket last term and should be capable of further progress this year. The remainder are harder to fancy, though Commanche has slipped down the weights and may do better on his return.
