Verdict

Parsnip Pete looked like winning at Newbury two weeks ago but was reeled in close home and has been raised a pound since – connections wouldn’t want any rain. Vaniteux and Cold March are closely matched on their run together at Ascot but there are possibilities about Sizing Platinum, who was second here in October, though he does seem better over further. De Faoithesdream is 5lb better off than when beaten four lengths by UN BEAU ROMAN here last month but Paul Henderson’s charge has the ground in his favour again and could defy his rise in the weights. Owen Na View is hard to catch right and may be outside his comfort zone in this grade.
