Verdict

Edgardo Sol won off a 5lb higher mark over fences at Aintree but this looks a lot more competitive. Cape Dutch is heading in the right direction judged on his latest win at Carlisle but could get outpaced over this shorter trip, while Numen won't find it easy to complete a four-timer off this mark as SHALLOW BAY is better off at the weights than when twice getting a rear view of Lucy Jones' gelding at Exeter. David Pipe's four-year-old is given a final chance to get off the mark over timber as he may settle him a little better in first-time blinkers, though this contest had a very open look about it. Thurles winner St Killian's Run may prove the pick of the Irish raiders but has his fair share of weight and just as interesting are lightly-raced pair Trovare and All The Winds.
