Verdict

A runner-up in the Grade 1 Scilly Isles novice chase at Sandown, MISTER COFFEY went on to place again over 3m2f in the Kim Muir here in March. He returns to action with every chance and is taken to fend off the Irish challengers. Of those, Bardenstown Lad is rated highest over timber though disappointed at Listowel on his chasing bow and Indigo Breeze may prove a bigger threat having finished second over fences at Gowran to the well regarded Banbridge. Red As Rust and Haute Estime have plenty to find on these terms while The Real Whacker makes his chasing bow.
