Verdict

Good to see Grand National hero Pineau De Re back in action but this season will be all about seeking a repeat Aintree success and it's unlikely he'll be fully ready for this comeback run. Stable companion Masterofdeception makes some appeal but VIVALDI COLLONGES (NAP) is a strong preference to score for the champion trainer. He'll be spot-on after a close second to In The Rough here on his reappearance over this trip and the progressive gelding is expected to go one better on just his sixth start over timber in what does not look the deepest of contests. He looks just the sort to progress substantially throughout the campaign. Dawn Commander has each-way claims but the other to note is Katkeau. Not seen for 630 days, the ex-French contender displayed plenty of potential on his three starts for the Pipe team prior to the intervention of injury. He'd be well worth a saver should the market speak strongly in his favour.
