Verdict

On what is likely to be perfect jumping ground, the sponsors must be distraught that only four have declared for this Grade 1 with not a single runner from the UK. On paper, it looks a match between BOB OLINGER and Galopin Des Champs with the former preferred given he’s won his last five over hurdles and fences, including the Ballymore at this meeting 12 months ago. The latter is proving a better chaser than hurdler and also won at last year’s Festival so won’t go down without a fight. Willie Mullins’ second string El Barra is preferred to Busselton of the others.
