Verdict

Clare McCloud was entered in the Pertemps Qualifier here yesterday. Forthefunofit may need this and lacks experience but Foxcub made an encouraging return at Fontwell two weeks ago and has every chance of going one better. Act Alone could be nicely treated and Ulzana's Raid was very progressive in the spring, though the drop in distance may not be ideal. ANDY KELLY (NAP) was just beaten by Bygones Sovereign at Ascot in December on similar terms but went on to score at Warwick in March whereas the winner rather lost his way in the spring. Emma Lavelle's charge can come out on top today as he probably has a bit more scope than Jimmy The Jetplane, Dragon's Den or Abolitionist.
