Verdict

Thomas Crapper has found some form lately but races from out of the handicap in this Grade 2, as do Un Beau Roman and Casino Markets. Voix D'eau doesn’t arrive in the same form as when beating Art Mauresque a length-and-a-half last year but can race off the same mark and is 8lb better off with the runner-up. Village Vic is normally reliable around here but was below his best and behind a number of these in similar company at The Festival last month. STARCHITECT (NAP) was one of those who finished ahead and he travelled strongly at Aintree subsequently over 3m until his stamina gave out. Dropped a couple of pounds since, David Pipe’s six-year-old can get back to winning ways.
