Champagne Court had some smart form over hurdles though only won once and is already proving himself better over fences, scoring easily at Sandown and landing the odds at Plumpton. MERCY MERCY ME was almost four lengths behind in that Plumpton contest but showed the benefit with a smooth victory at Sandown and is progressing fast enough to complete a double. Simply The Betts completed a double at Chepstow and Newcastle but made too many errors on his hat-trick bid at Kempton. Imperial Aura couldn't cope with the smart Pym here last month but had a virtual walkover on his chasing debut and will have come on for that latest effort. Encore Champs won a Fakenham handicap by 17 lengths but is up 10lb for this much better race while Cloudy Glen only had one to beat at Haydock though did it nicely which will have boosted his confidence. Gowiththeflow looks to be getting the hang of chasing judging by his recent run at Kempton.
