In depth

Verdict

Dangerousdanmagru has done nothing wrong of late but another 10lb rise for his latest success leaves the mud-lark with more to do and preference is for the less exposed Serpentine Rock, with Noisetine and Jacks Craic rated the best of the remainder. The selection showed improved form for the switch to the stable of Philip Hobbs and made an encouraging start to his chasing career when landing an Exeter handicap last month. An 8lb rise for that seems to be perfectly fair and the five-year-old is taken to follow up. Wrags To Riches has give little cause for optimism in two previous starts this term, while French import Lulumar lacks a previous run for Oliver Sherwood and is probably best watched. No Visibility would have claims if fit for his return but lack of a recent run is of concern and a bigger threat may come from another reappearing runner Noisetine, who hails from the yard of Venetia Williams that can produce one fit after an absence. Dangerousdanmagru has obvious claims on recent form but Serpentine Rock is less exposed and is taken to follow up his Exeter success.
