Sew On Target hails from an in-form yard but his debut third at Taunton came on quick ground, while Lamblord's recent fourth at Towcester was also achieved on a fast surface. Royal Commission was fancied on his debut at Uttoxeter three weeks ago and ran well for fourth, but Tiger Maguire hasn't raced since his promising racecourse bow at Carlisle back in March last year. MASTER OF THE SEA couldn't match strides with the winner when third over C&D on his first start in October, but will have benefited for the experience and he gets the nod to open his account here.
