In depth

Verdict

A wide open affair to round up proceedings where Hazytoo, Indian Edge, Violent Velocity and Proud Killer make the shortlist and Hazytoo is the pick. Simon Callaghans' charge made a winning seasonal debut at Lingfield when well supported to do so and with improvement likely he appeals as the most likely winner. Indian Edge attempted to make all the running at Wolverhampton. If those tactics are applied once again it will prove a stiff task as he is fairly exposed. Violent Velocity caught the eye when staying well at Thirsk over 7f and this mile will suit. He appears the main danger to the selection that being Hazytoo.
