Last year's Welsh National hero Mountainous begins his build-up for this year's race and doesn't look badly treated. But Hawkes Point must also have every chance on that form while Roalco De Farges has already won a Class 2 handicap this season. Carole's Destrier is a promising novice but the handicapper has taken no chances with Neil Mulholland's Exeter winner. RELAX has failed to finish as many races as he's won but he's a useful handicapper when on song and this is his time of year. There would have been more confidence had he had a recent run but he should still give a good account. One Term may improve for the fitting of blinkers but this trip will stretch his stamina to the limit.
