      Verdict

Kasban can build on his excellent reappearance run for new trainer Ed Dunlop and land this moderate-looking maiden, although the twin threat of Luca Cumani's debutantes Arabiyah and Candy Mountain is not to be underestimated. John Gosden has started the season well and his nicely bred once-raced pair are entitled to come on for their first runs significantly and must be watched for market support, however Kasban has racecourse experience and looks the call. An expensive son of Kingmambo (360,000 guineas), he was still green as grass when last seen but there was definite promise there and he can build on that to score today. Luca Cumani had an impressive first-time out winner on the all-weather last week and his two need close monitoring here, whilst Composing didn't build on her promising Salisbury debut when stepped up in trip next time out. She may have just needed the run so can fare better today, however Kasban has plenty of scope for improvement and gets the nomination.
