Most of these have been round the block a few times but Assertive Agent is only a three-year-old. Tony Carroll also runs Tooley Woods, just beaten on fast ground over course and distance last month when Cape Crossing was more than two lengths away in third. Offbeat Safaris has been knocking on the door and The Mongoose won on the Turf at Lingfield last Saturday but there have to be reservations about this much easier ground. HAWK MOTH was put up 4lb following a short-head victory at Lingfield but looks to be back to his best and is still well treated on the pick of his all-weather form. He may be good enough to score again.
