In depth

Verdict

SIR RODERIC arrives on the back of a victory at Goodwood. He’s raised 3lb but went close off today’s mark over track and trip when last at this venue and gets the vote. Barrington has proved best over 6f so far and was narrowly beaten over the latter trip at Kempton last week while Double Up is another with something to prove over this far. Madame Tantzy was placed over a mile last month and doesn’t look badly treated while Hawafez is less exposed than most and could go well.
