Verdict

CAPE MELODY has been knocking on the door of late and is taken to break her maiden tag at the expense of Lord Fidelio and Ailsa Craig. The selection has run four times this season finishing second twice. She was not discredited when finishing fourth of 11 at Salisbury on her latest outing when sent off favourite and if at her best she will prove difficult to oppose. Lord Fidelio ran a personal best when catching the eye at Newbury last time out when finishing third behind Santefisio. That form has worked out well so he should be monitored for any support in the betting market. Ailsa Craig comes form a yard that always warrant respect and she performed with credit on her latest start when finishing third in a big field at Windsor and with further improvement still to come she is sure to be in the shake up. Cape Melody has top weight to carry but is given the vote to over come this.
