In depth

Verdict

Boomshakalaka can land this at the expense of Archway Copse and Auchterader. The selection was a winner of a national hunt bumper at Stratford and then was exposed in better company at Newbury last time out. Having said that he actually ran well that day and has to be respected on his first run over hurdles in such a poor race. Ian Williams is now having winners after a quiet start to the season and trains Archway Corpse who ran with great credit at Towcester when third to Ring Back at a big price. He has to be considered now that the penny has finally dropped and is one to note in the betting market. Auchterader did not set the world alight on his debut in a bumper at Warwick when finishing mid field but with the yard in such good form and having his first run over hurdles he is worth noting. But for the winner we return to Boomshakalaka.
