Cape Victoria has struggled off higher marks since landing a double at Brighton and Ffos Las in July. Dark Amber was only third at Ffos Las on Sunday but she's a consistent type who usually runs her race and it will be interesting to see if there is any money for French import La Pyle on his first start for Philip Hobbs, though he's been bought to go jumping. Medburn Cutler won twice over 2m here early in the summer but looked in the handicapper's grip when last seen. DESDICHADO (NAP) picked off the 80-rated Mr Quicksilver over 1m2f at Ffos Las on just his second start. That suggests he's well weighted on his handicap debut and, with the longer trip certain to suit, he should prove hard to beat.
