Madam Lilibet has not won on the Flat for some time now but was beaten only a neck over the marathon 2m5f trip at Pontefract last time. Work ended the last Flat season with a double on the all-weather and has been hurdling without success since joining David Pipe while Cold Fusion went close over 2m here recently. The Lampo Genie found one too good over 1m6f at Chelmsford but THE QUARTERJACK has won over today’s trip and his improved form of late suggest he may finally have slipped far enough down the weights to get his head back in front.
