Verdict

The Coolmore-owned Utility ran well enough on his hurdling bow but Jonjo O’Neill’s yard continues to struggle for winners and GARO DE JUILLEY is preferred. The latter won four times on the Flat in France last year and this is easier than last month’s hurdling debut at Cheltenham where he faded in the closing stages. Sweettoothtommy finished closer here last time without threatening the winner while Lucky Gal ran better on her earlier start at Newton Abbot than she did over these hurdles on her latest start. Mister Big never figured on last year’s racecourse debut in a bumper while newcomer Cold As Ice is related to a couple of hurdle winners in France.
