    Verdict

Copper Kay has won at Ffos Las and Doncaster over hurdles this season and ran a cracker when second in a Grade 2 at Newbury last month. She’s consistent and is sure to be hard to beat but won’t be much of a price and is giving 12lb to her rivals on going that will be quicker than ideal. SWATOW could make a race of it if she continues her upward curve under in-form Daryl Jacob. Emma Lavelle’s mare belied big odds with a staying-on second at Southwell last month and, as she’s Flat-bred, should enjoy conditions here. Strangsmill ran her best race so far under Rules when second at Ludlow and looks best of the rest ahead of Athy River.
