Verdict

Baby Barry is difficult to oppose in this grade and he gets the vote at the main expense of Zhitomir and Back in Spirit. The selection was a close second behind Penwell Hill in a banded stakes race last time at Carlisle. He hasn't won over two years but he has contested some decent races during that time and at this level he should be too good for his rivals. Zhitomir is not most consistent but if he is in the mood then he could go well. His best form is on a faster surface but he has won on heavy ground and he looks to have decent place prospects. Back in Spirit put up a fair effort last time when fourth behind Jagged at Southwell on the AW and he will have conditions to suit here so he could have decent each-way claims. Of the remainder, Halcyon Magic won well last time and has got obvious claims, but we will stick with Baby Barry as our idea of the winner.
