In depth

Verdict

A competitive heat for a bank holiday maiden, with several of the top yards represented. Daisy Do has plenty of expeience, but she shouldn't be good enough to win this, while Garmoucheh has shown more than enough to suggest she is capable of winning a maiden although she only looks set to play a minor role in this. Tawahoj is sure to improve for the step up in trip and will be a tough nut to crack, but the vote goes to Condoleezza, who caught the eye on her debut, when a staying on third in what looked a decent maiden at Newamrket. Out of a mare that won a Listed race over a mile and a half, she will be well suited by this stiffer test.
