In depth

Verdict

Templer gets the confident vote here with Grecian Groom and Calusa Caldera rating the main dangers. The selection was a good second behind Monticelli last time out, that form sets the standard in the context of this race and under conditions that suit he is hard to oppose. Grecian Groom rates the main danger on his best form but he has dissapointed of late, however he could bounce back to life on this faster surface. Calusa Caldera is from a yard in form and could go well at a price but the suspicvion is he will be seen to better effect over a longer trip in time. Ballamusic has shown promise in two runs to date and he could go well at a price but the suspicion is he will be seen to better effect over a longer trip in time and with this in mind for the winner we return to Templer who sets a fair standard and looks the one to be on.
