David Evans can land a one-two in this contest with BATHWICK BEAR expected to beat Dingle View; Primo Lady can lead home the rest. Our selection made a winning debut at Ffos Las, in the process giving weight and a beating to his stablemate Dingle View. It's probably significant that the Bathwick Bear was sent off at a much shorter price than the filly that day and he's actually better off at the weights here, so with Jimmy Fortune back in the plate a bold show is expected from a good draw. Dingle View seems to have improved with her racing and did well to win on Sunday but at these weights she has to be opposed, although she may still be good enough to take second. Primo Lady won tidily at Lingfield on her debut and though this is a step up in class she was expected to need that run and therefore merits respect tried on turf, especially having landed the plot draw in stall one. Julius Geezer is well regarded but looks awkward whilst his stablemate Coconut Ice has a bit to find with our selection and Little Libretto looks the third-string of the stable having shown little at Salisbury behind Dingle View. David Evans took this race last year and looks to have excellent claims of following up; our pick from his trio is Bathwick Bear.
