Verdict

Aidan O'Brien bids to win this for the fourth time in succession. The Dewhurst third Smuggler's Cove was unfancied on his comeback in the Gladness Stakes at the Curragh and ran accordingly but a bold bid is expected over this longer trip. NAFAQA (NAP) shares a similar profile with a second in the Royal Lodge followed by another placed effort when behind Kool Kompany in the Craven at Newmarket last month. But Barry Hills' charge is a half-brother to a 1m4f winner and may well go one better in this. Disegno gets first-time headgear after a third in the Listed Feilden Stakes on his return but the remainder all have some improving to do on today's terms including Listed winner Prince Gagarin while Paul Hanagan prefers the selection to Snoano.
